Church of the Saviour United Methodist Church offers a wide range of ministries and activities for the congregation and community. Their seasonal magazine (both print and digital) serves to attract and engage participants.

The Objective

Attending yoga at a church might seem out of the ordinary. The goal of the article was to explain the origin of yoga and how it can connect to a spiritual experience.

The Solution

To solve the question of why one should attend yoga at church, I started by helping the reader understand what yoga is, beyond the physical poses. I then tied the practice of yoga to the act of worship and connection.

The article served to explain yoga, make the reader feel comfortable and curious enough to give Yoga in the Light a try.
